Get Involved!
Setup one node in mesa around the main and power area using a bullet m2.. going to add another one in fountain hills soon with an airgateway. I have an extra bullet M2 and a few wrtg54gl's that are flashed, just need a place to put them if someone has some potential sites. |

Looking for Tunnel Server to connect to
I just got the tunnel client installed and now need someone (or several) servers to connect to. Does anyone have a server I could tunnel into? 73, Steve |

Connecting BBHM to existing asterisk server
It's going to be easier to integrate an asterisk server on a mesh node. You can find my instructions here: http://www.broadband-hamnet.org/hsmm-mesh-forums/view-postlist/forum-9-voip/topic-284-asterisk-running-natively-on-hsmm-mesh-node.html |

Connecting BBHM to existing asterisk server
Hi, I've read lots of posts about voip on the mesh but I haven't seen anyone mentioning integrating a node into an existing asterisk server. Does anyone have any experience or ideas with this? And would I need a dedicated asterisk server on another machine plugged only into a BBHM node or can I use the one already on my LAN? Thanks, Steve/KW4WP |

Hello, I recently found a "Cantenna" at a flea market. But I can't seem to find information on it. One of the connectors is marked power, so does this mean it is amplified? Attached are photos. Maybe this will help. Thanks, Jim

Playing nice with my home wifi
Hi all, I have a Ubiquiti UniFi AP on my home network right now and I'm contemplating the use of the Ubiquiti hardware (like a Bullet) to deploy a mesh node here at the home QTH. I would really like to hear (either from someone who's been there, or someone who is concerned) about their experiences with interoperation between two wifi nodes in the same location. Hell, I can hit my AP from a good hundred yards away, so the signal strength is obviously there, and I don't doubt that they WILL collide. I assume at some point I'll be probably modifying either the AP or the mesh node to stay away from one or more channels (frequencies). It's been a couple years since I modified the AP parameters, so I can't even remember what channel it's operating on, so this should be a bit of an adventure... Has anyone else done it? Any words of advice? Do I just make sure the frequencies don't collide? Is that even necessary? |

Ok! The W2SJT 2M repeater is actually on top of Montana mountain - works very well between work and home, I don't know about between home and Hackettstown. I'll monitor W3OK as well. Dropped you an email - you may want to edit yours out before spammers harvest it. |

You, sir, are my new best friend! I live in Washington NJ and I work 10 minutes East of your QTH near Crayola. I've played with mesh on WRT54 routers and I just ordered some used nanostations from ebay because I'm trying to get something up on our repeater tower. We definitely need to talk. I'm usually listening on the repeater during drive time (say 7:30-8am and 5-6pm) if you want give me a call:
146.820 Mhz (-)
110.9 Hz (2Z) CTCSS

Hi,
I'm new to Hamnet and have one node running, with another on the way. That was a great write-up of what can be done. I would really like to do tunneling but have no idea where to start. Is there any video or howto guide on how to set that up? Also, where do you get application packages? EDIT: I found the answers in the docs here and googling :) 73,
Steve |
