Hi Chris,
Thanks for that info. Didn't realize that TS3 was encrypted... then I take it that TS5 is not encrypted... or at least you can turn it off somehow?
If so, I will give it a try.

Unfortunately TeamSpeak has encryption that cannot be disabled to be Part 97 compliant.
Last Wednesday at my monthly HSMM meeting we configured a TeamTalk 5 (http://bearware.dk/) server and demonstrated connecting to it via BBHN mesh.
Overall, it was very easy to set up once we figured out that a generic user/pass needs to be created for all users to log in with. But TeamTalk 5 has voice chat, keyboard-to-keyboard chat, webcam and remote desktop capabilities. |

Bridge home network to private mesh
Hey guys... I'm setting up a mesh network to run cameras around my property. I'd plan on one node at each corner of my property with my house in the middle with another node. I'd like that network to be standalone to run the cameras, but want to connect that network to my internal one for the purpose of monitoring. Any ideas on how to do this?

Teamspeak3 ??
John, Did you ever get any help setting up TeamSpeak3? I am trying to do the same thing but running into problems because I don't understand all I read on the subject. I think I have the server set up correctly, but do not seem to be able to connect with a client running on another mesh node. I'm pretty sure it has to do with setting up port forwarding correctly and I thought I had tried every possible combination of ports and IP addresses to no avail. If you have TS3 working, could you send me a screenshot of the port forwarding configuration you're using on the BBHN nodes? Any help you can offer would be appreciated. I'm about to abandon TS3 and look for another application so I can demo at least some sort of voice comms or keyboard to keyboard comms over the mesh. I am using a Ubiquiti NSM2 and an old WRT-54G as my nodes. 73, Ron N4RT

Restoring Linksys firmware on a node
I had to resort to using my Raspberry Pi to connect to the WRT54G serial port. Then upload new firmware via TFTP. It wasn't easy, but it worked.

Restoring Linksys firmware on a node
Im having exactly the same problem with 2 that I have. They wont reset no matter what I do. when I do ipconfig, it shows me everything bu the default gateway on both of the routers. I have another one here which was no problem at all, however, the default gateway showed the IP address of 192.168.0.1 Anyone know the solution? |

Nanostaion2 Loco won't flash to openwrt
Just getting started with this, and I have a Nanostaion2 Loco that I want to flash for hsmm. It does not accept openwrt firmware using the onboard Update Firmware utility. Is there a special procedure for this? Current firmware is xs2.ar2316.v4.0.4.5074.150724.1340 Thanks, Bill KB4NET |

Installing a tunnel client remotely
The tunneling firmware currently must be installed on the WAN side of a mesh node. I have two mesh systems, one in MN and one in HI. I would like to co0nnect them with a VPN tunnel. I am currently in Hilo, HI and have been trying to install the tunnel client in one of my MN nodes. How can I do so if I cannot gain physical access to the hardware and connect to the WAN port? The node is located at the QTH of a nearby ham who knows nothing about mesh. That node is my gateway to the internet for that mesh. I can access the mesh using Teamviewer, but the gateway routes me to a computer that is connected to the LAN side of the mesh nodes. SSN connects to the desired node, but from the LAN side, the website cannot be accessed and the installation cannot proceed. Is there another way that I can install the client on the node in MN remotely? BTW - My knowledge of Linux is rather limited, but I do have access to an expert here in Hilo.
