This year the Portland Amateur Radio Club will be deploying five HSMM nodes primarily for network logging. This is the first year we've tried it at field day, so we'll see how it goes. We operate QRP, battery powered with four stations. Maybe five this year.

A Raspberry Pi will provide SMB file sharing, IRC services, Web Services and will have a few movies loaded for helping keep us up in the late of the night.

Mesh nodes will have internet connectivity via 4G - - Thank you PDAnet+.

Swing by Kelly Butte in SE Portland anytime saturday - Feel free to bring your node, your radio, or both!!

Gents,

if you would want to write up a small document and take pictures, we would be glad to make up an article on the main site under FD.Just email them directly to me and Ill format the articles.

Id like to get as many notes as possible from around the country/world on how everyone's mesh logging network did this year, good things and/or gotchas.

Thanks and Happy Meshing!

Jim
