Hello,

After successfully flashing and setting up my first wrt54g, I attempted to flash a wrt54gs v4.71.4 with what I believe is the appropriate bin file, yet I repeatedly receive the "Upgrade are failed" message.

I tried TFTP.exe as well, with the result "no response" received.

Can anyone help me? I am all out of ideas...

I have determined that on this particular device, to get around this problem, you first have to flash dd-wrt.v24_mini_wrt54gs.bin, and once you have that working, you can flash the standard wrt54gs 3.1.0 MESH bin.
