This afternoon I ran a benchmark test from my Fallbrook home to the top of Mt. Palomar.  The following configuration resulted in a LQ of 100% with a 20 dB SNR.  The path is 34.5 km (21.4 miles).

My FJ Cruiser (on Mt. Palomar):
NanoBridge M2 (23 dBm, 18 dBi self-contained antenna)
-94 Rec sensitivity spec

My backyard (Fallbrook):
Bullet M2 (28 dBm, 25 dBi BBQ grill antenna)
-83 Rec sensitivity spec

The SNR likely could have been improved upon, as I has holding the NanoBridge dish and pointing it based on my wife reading Link Quality numbers. Unfortunately I didn't have a Telnet or Putty client on my dash-mounted PC, so I couldn't use the "Aimer" program.

Conclusion: I was impressed with the NanoBridge M2.  It's sturdy, super sensitive, and appears easy to tower/pole mount.  I've been wanting to validate this path for some time... but have not been able to do so until I used UBNT gear on both ends.

I've just started to play with Ham mesh. When setting up links do any of these devices allow running of bit error rate tests? Ed KG6UTS OB/Borrego Springs

Hey Ed,

Nothin in the user interface, maybe something in the back end but I have not looked that deep as most of the information is abstracted after the hardware level for the needs of the mesh.

SNR is currently one of the better metrics easily avaliable for checking a link along with the Link Quality.
