Hello all,

I installed the bbhn-3.1.0-wrt300n_v1-2.4-squashfs.bin version of the firmware for the Linksys WRT300N.  I think I made a mistake and assigned the SUBNET MASK to 255.255.255.0. Yes I'm fairly sure that was where my problem started. Since I saved the 10.0.0.1 as the router IP Address and the before mentioned SUBNET MASK, out of habit I guess and I've lost most touch with the router.

Is there a way I can telnet (went in the telnet 192.168.1.1 using the reboot wait about 2.5 seconds and hold the restart button, so that I could connect to the router) Now I was wondering if in somewhere like /etc/config/networks if I can reset the default back into the router? If I can where might they be found and reset to what?

I also had changed the node id to w4qed-100

I have a WRT54GS with v3 (w4qed-103) on it and the WRT300 does not show up at any time on the network.

Thanks and 73,

Ben ARS w4qed

Thank you for your reply. The WRT300N flashed with bbhn-3.1.0-wrt300n_v1-2.4-squashfs.bin and the BroadbandHamnet-20-v3 was already entered. When I try to save the configuration it tells me that and is telling me "invalid Wifi IP Address" that it needs the WiFi IP Address assigned. I thought that the IP Address was assigned by the chip identification (I know it called something else) assignment. WIFI Protocol Static IP Address 10.0.0.0 NetMask 255.0.0.0 SSID BroadbandHamnet -20-v3 Mode Ad-Hoc Channel 1 LAN setup as: LAN Mode IP Address 10.0.0.1 Netmask 255.255.255.248 DHCP Server DHCP Start 2 DHCP End 6 Perhaps this is something that is in error on the software flash. As every WRT54G's I've done always assigned the WiFi address. Thanks, Ben ARS w4qed

Update a bit. Notice there is a clash in subnets. anyone know where the addresses should be or how to figure out what they should be from the chip id's?
