I have a node that I set up a couple of years ago and never put it on the air, and looking to do so.  my question is my current version is 1.0.0, should I update to 3.0 or 3.1?

I think I'm just going to go up to 3.1. my next question is: what page(s) do I need to go look at about communicating with previous versions? (OK, I'm a little lazy and don't want to spend a bunch of time poking around if I don't have to)
