I would be very interested in building firmware for the Alfa ap121u.

They are inexpensive, use SMA for the antenna, includes WAN/Wan and PoE port, and is compatible with openwrt. http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/alfa.network/hornet-ub Not to mention it also runs 12vdc natively and includes an onboard usb port.

I'm curious as to what the process is in developing firmware for BBHN, I know it is based off openwrt. I am fully willing to help with development and risk bricking my hardware to bring another router option to the table.

I've flashed with with openwrt (so yes, I do have the serial hardware needed for reflashing).

Is there any movement on this? Or does anyone have specs, like memory and such, on this unit.

I was going to purchase a unit to test attached to a RPi, but if it can be a stand-alone node, that would be better.
