I was only on this site this morning ( Right NOW) I pulled up an attached picture and a virus tried to attach to my computer.


I opened the attachment meshlink.jpg from KF5JIM  . The picture was sourced from cloudfront.net

Virus : Trojan.ADH.2

Hmm...That's interesting since my computer is pretty much locked down all the time and has always had a kernel wrapper to prevent stuff like that from happening.

No cloudfront there. Your computer could have very well have been infected before you tried to open the picture.

hmmm?? I did a scan right after and it found nothing and verified my AV was up to date. Delete my post about the warning. I just ran a quick scan and found 2 low concern tracking cookies and they were removed. Mike

The Symantec description indicates that a virus "may have been detected" and doesn't identify it further.  It goes on to say there may be no virus at all.
