It has been a couple weeks since I had 3 WRT54G's talking. Now, they still show up on my laptop when I "view wireless networks". It is as if they are still up and running and showing full signals. All the nodes are unhooked. I am obviously missing something.

Let me know if you can help me understand.

Thank You, Trent/KJ4KAF

The software that helps your laptop link to a wireless network has probably just saved a list of networks it has seen. There should be some sort of "refresh" feature to force the computer to take a fresh look for currently live networks. -Glenn KD5mfw

I see the same thing. The Refresh doesn't get rid of it that I can tell. Dave, KC5SII

go to network connections.

right click your wireless.

go to properties.

go to wireless networks.

go to perferred networks.

remove.

--------

also

go to preferred networks.

select network.

click propreties.

clear checkbox that says "connect to network even when not broadcasting"
